i have an outstanding mortgage of £29,00 on a flat worth approx £135,000. I have £19,000 in credit card debts (ouch) all currently on 0% balance transfer deals, which are due to come to an end between April and December. I applied for an additional borrowing to cover these debts with my existing mortgage provider [Norwich and Peterborough] but was turned down. As I have a lot of equity in the flat, is there any chance I can remortgage and raise money to cover these debts or will I be considered a high risk? I don't want to keep applying and getting turned down, and thus adversely affect my credit rating. Bit worried now that I may be approaching the buffers.
