When is the earliest i can book a mortgage 2 Years, 11 Months ago  
My current fixed rate mortgage expires 31/01/2010. When is the earliest I could apply and book a new mortage to start when my current deal ends? Are there any particular lenders that allow you to book in advance?

This very much depends on the lender you chose.

The issue is the lenght of time before a mortgage offer expires. Most expire after 3 months, however some, for example Halifax, have mortgage offers which last for 6 months.

I would strongly suggest speaking to an independent mortgage broker who will be able to explain your options. If you are looking for a fixed rate deal, I would suggest speaking sooner rather than later as fixed rates seem to be on the rise.
