remortgage 1 Year, 6 Months ago  
Hi

I currently have a mortgage for 150,000 have never defaulted on my mortgage, but have on all my credit cards which now some are with recovery agents. I want to sell my house and my mum sell hers and buy one large house and still only keep the original 150,000 mortgage. Will I have to have a new mortgage? and if I do what are my chances of my lender agreeing? hope someone can help

Hi there,

Unfortunately any new mortgage lender will not look favourably on the missed credit card payments.

However it is good that you have kepy your mortgage payments up to date. Your best bet is to deal with your existing lender and see if they would allow you to 'port' your existing mortgage to the new property?

If they wont allow you to do this seek mortgage advice from a suitably qualified IFA.

You should keep your mortgage payments fully paid so that they will not create any problem. And try to first deal with your existing agent and then move ahead of this.

Your lender will not going to agree on lending you any new mortgage loan nor any other company will provide you mortgage because they first see the past credit history because they are responsible for the liability of the loan they issue.So you should first pay the previous mortgage in time..!!
