We have an offset mortgage. Have always paid on time and had surplus funds in the account. They now inform us that they have caluculated our repayments wrong and want an additional £80.00pm. Over the term of the mortgage this works out at an extra £12000.00. How can they do this when we have paperwork showing the original calculations.
Are they trying it on due to the low interest rate?
