Hi - I would like some advise if possible.

My wife and I split up a while ago but I have agreed to continue to pay the mortgage ongoing.

However I have now met somebody else and we would like to buy a house together.

Would I have any problem with getting another mortgage seeing as I already have one ?

I'm sure this must happen a lot. The monthly payments for both combined will not be a problem for me but I'm worried there may be complications ?

Not necessarily going to be a problem as lenders allow 2 residential mortgages in this case. The main thing would be meeting affordability criteria of the bank themselves. Its not a case of what you think you can afford either as it has to be met on their own calculations.
